Drawing on his experience as a professional playwright whose work has been produced in Australia and internationally, David will share practical techniques used to create engaging stories, believable characters and compelling dramatic action.

About David Searston
David Searston is a Toomoomba-based playwright, actor, director and producer whose plays have been staged in Australia and internationally, including New York and Philadelphia. A graduate of the University of Southern Queensland with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Modern History, David has written several original works including The Friendzone, Bananas, Desires, Stay Strong Stay Beautiful, One Million Conversations, and Charming Charlie and the Spectacular Sophia. Passionate about storytelling and developing new work, David enjoys helping others discover how ideas become compelling theatre.
Inside the Script workshop is presented by 6 Mangrove Productions, Bribie Island’s community theatre company, and has been proudly supported by City of Moreton Bay.
