6 Mangrove Productions is Bribie Island’s community theatre company.

Since 2021, we’ve been bringing people together through live theatre, creative workshops and shared experiences that celebrate local talent.

Whether you’re stepping onto a stage for the first time, lending a hand behind the scenes, or simply enjoying a great night out, there’s a place for you here.

We’re a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organisation that believes community theatre should be welcoming, creative and fun. Every production, workshop and event is made possible by local people who generously share their time, skills and enthusiasm.

Our aim is simple: to create opportunities for people of all ages and experience levels to learn, perform, connect and grow.

We also enjoy working with artists, community groups and organisations across the region because we know the strongest creative communities are built through collaboration.

Why 6 Mangrove Productions?

Our name has a strong connection to Bribie Island.

When 6 Mangrove Productions was founded in 2021, the name was inspired by the six types of mangroves found on the island. The mangrove in our logo reflects that connection to the local environment and the community we’re part of.

Mangroves also seem a fitting symbol for a community theatre company. They put down roots, grow together and support the life around them.

In much the same way, 6MP has grown through the involvement of local people who bring different skills, experiences and ideas to everything we do.
