Thinking about auditioning?

Whether you’ve been performing for years, haven’t been on stage since school, or have never auditioned before, there could be a place for you at 6MP.

What to expect?

Auditions vary depending on the community production and director, but we aim to make them welcoming, relaxed and straightforward.

You may be asked to read apart of the script, try a scene with other people or explore a character with the director. You won’t be expected to arrive with a polished performance unless the audition information specifically asks you to prepare something.

Most importantly, you don’t have to know exactly what you’re doing before you walk through the door.

Is this for me?

Our community productions call for different ages, personalities, voices and levels of experience. Some roles need experienced performers; others can be a great opportunity for someone relatively new to the stage.

We welcome people who have performed for years, people returning after a long break, and people who have never considered themselves an actor before.

If a role interests you, don’t rule yourself out before you’ve even walked through the door.

What’s next?

Audition opportunities are advertised as new community productions are planned.
